So definitly rule out the inline positive power fuse before you go replacing anything else

When I encounter a bad fusible link I replace it with a 60a lug type fuse. Use of a lug type allows the fuse to be mounted on the power point in the engine bay where the small lead from the battery attaches. Then I splice out the fusible link.The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

had the same problem with my 325es, i just need to install the fuse, i got the actual metal piece that oxidized for it, just need to figure out how to install it into the two rivets on the silicone board the fuse is installed on. do u think i need to undo the rivets and redo them or do u think i can clean it up and slid it back in place? BTW my fuse is a 45 amp, in case ur looking for one

Ok well i ahd the same problem with the fusible link, the metal part of it (basically the fuse) fell right out when i opened it up. I replaced it with a 50A fusible link that I got from autozone. Had to rig it up with circle connectors on the wire ends and screw those into the link. (ill take a pic if anyone wants to see later.) but im still not getting any spark or Prime from the fuel pump. Im starting to feel absolutely stumped. -.-..
I have been using the service manual for it that i got from BMWn and going over the digrams but everything seems to work fine. I also Got a new ecu for it jsut incase that was the problem.

Check for power going to the fuel pump relay. and if you dont have it there, trace it back. It goes to the ECU, then to the battery as far as I can tell. So your ecu could be bad. But I would test continuity(I think thats the word) between the hot spot on the relay, and where it should be recieving power from on the ECU.
