when i was testing my 02 sensor, i may have shorted something out.
at the harness connection i accidentally touched the + and - together.
oops...fuck
i had power from the dme at the connection before and now..... my car idles at about 3500 to4100 rpm
when i went to see if i had voltage from the harness(coming from the dme)per haynes test method, is when i think i shorted it out.
now it idles at 3 or 4k, even when i disconnect the icv or/and the 02.
now it makes no difference if the idle control valve and 02 is plugged in or not.
in the hanyes manual it dose not say what it could effect if you cross the connection, it just says "do not cross".
i am going to check my idle control module next using the real manual"Bentley".
i know that the icm and the dme both need info from the o2 or it defaults into open loop mode....if this is the case it shouldn't idle at 3 or 4k.
