85 325e, fuel injectors not firing

Hi guys, I'm trying to get my 85e running again after sitting for 2 months. She ran when parked so to say.

I verified both fuel pumps are running, I have pressure to the fuel rail, I have spark at the plugs, plugs check dry.

I put a test light on one of the FI leads and got 12v checked in off position. When I go to start, light goes out, no flash. If I unplug the main relay, signal goes to 5v.

Any suggestions on what to check next? Thanks!

Understand that the injectors should be powered only when the key is in run or start. The DME gounds each bank of injectors to cause them to fire. Probing the injectors with a meter or test light will yield confusing results as both sides of an injector will show power and the firing pulses are short enoung not be reflected on a meter or incandescent bulb. The right way to check for firing is with a noid light.

The pumps may be running, but what is the pressure in the fuel rail? Have you checked to see if the bottom of the tank might be filled with water?
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
