    quick question about performance chip??

I'm interested in installing a performance chip in my 325e. I was asked how many pins were on my factory chip????? Was there an electronic change in Oct 87???
My car was built in Oct 87.

I think it depends more on what type of computer the car has vs the year. Best bet is to take it out and count the pins as it's pretty easy to do.

above the glove box, i believe the cruise control unit is there to and must be moved in order to get the computer out just a couple bolts, not to bad

            Thanks for the input!!!
I have a rebuilt head to install, so I bought a header and then the chip.

If yer gonna drive it hard, you should have atleast have mid grade but if you're not driving it too high at rpms then regular is good. No change in fuel economy so far. Just the cold weather and winter gas is giving me slightly worse mileage right now I think
