Got a Fan Clutch counter holder Tool for a M20?

Need to Rent or Borrow Fan Clutch counter holder Tool for a M20 BMW Service Tool Reference #11-5-030. If i could borrow, rent, as i was expecting one this weekend from BMP, but they forgot and I'm out of time. I would like to use it Sunday or Monday at the latest. Should only be a few hours to replace fan clutch.

I can pick up anywhere from North Lake Washington to Tacoma. live in kenmore, but repairing in federal way.

    Thanks Brian

if you have the 32mm wrench, I just put it on there and gave the wrench a solid whack with a hammer. Came loose right away for me

If a vigorous whack with a hand sledge won't break the nut free (it usually will if the belt is in place and tight), a field expedient counter hold tool is a large flat blade screwdriver.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

i used a flat bade screwdriver and jammed in between the pulleys to keep it from rotating

Mine was so stuck. Took a torch to it and it loosened up.

I used to use the screwdriver trick with great success (although some busted knuckles)until one time when I just squeezed the belt together with one hand (to hold the pulley in place) and turned the wrench with the other....not sure if that makes sense, but if you squeeze the two long runs of the belt together it creates a similar effect to a strap wrench.

As stated earlier...don't forget it's reverse thread!

Best of luck with the project.

i just bought a cheap harbor freight 32mm wrench and took a grinder to it to make it narrow enough to fit... worked great when i did my water pump
