    Ok, I need help!

My car has been having some really bad misses and bogging at high RPM's lately. As I know of, it is not a fuel problem. I got a CEL a few times and a code 1221. I did the checks for the O2 sensor, and it was bad. I ordered a new one...got it this past week. I got it on the car, and it ran better for a few days.

Well, today while I was coming back from an out of town trip. I got the same misses and bogging, CEL, and code 1221. I dont know what else to check. Can some one please help guide me in the right direction? I don't know where to look next.

    THANKS IN ADVANCE!

1221 is a Lambda fault. While it can be caused by a bad O2, it more commonly triggered by an upset in the A/F ratio. Since the code appears in conjunction with missing, the chances of it being cause by an A/F upset are pretty good.

The most likely causes of this hat high rpm are a bad AFM or a fuel delivery issue. Run the fuel system pressure and delivery test in the Bentley. If they appear to be okay with the car stationary, clip a fuel pressure gauge to a wiper and see what happens at speed.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

pull a vacuum on the on the fuel pressure regulator. see if that fixes(could be bad hose)
next fuel filter needs to be replaced.
          last fuel pump.
          Much wow

Brand new fuel filter. I put on yesterday.
It's a new hose on the FPR. On both sides of the FPR. It is a fairly new FPR, but I had replaced it b4 I knew I had a clogged return line in the gas tank. Should I try another new FPR, and if that does not work a new fuel pump?

The first action should be to run the fuel system tests in the Bentley. If there is a problem with the fuel system those tests will tell you where the problem is.

The OE pump is only available as a complete assembly.

Got a Walbro fuel pump on order. I am hoping, wishing, crossing fingers, and praying that this fixes my problem!
