Timing belt 127 or 128 teeth?

I am building my m20 right now and when i went to get a timing belt from the parts place, they asked if i had a 127 or a 128 tooth timing belt. According to their computers for a 1987 m20b27 there are two different timing belt sizes. If you know anything about this let me know. I dont want to buy the wrong timing belt.

Earliest M20s were 127 tooth, all were fixed long ago.

Try and not use local parts places, you will only be dissapointed.

make sure you get a Conti belt...

See, that isn't really all that big a deal, as the dumbass parts guy would have quite the shock when he ordered the 127 tooth and it never came, they haven't sold since like 1986 or something...but the real beauty of this board is guys like those above who would not let incorrect info stand.

Buy from the dealer. Its like the same price as any other place. Atleast you know what your getting will be legit.
