    AFM/idle issues

Took my car into a shop today to get a smoke test because i thought a vacuum leak was causing a rough idle. At idle the whole car would shake and the revs would drop below 500, but when i revved it everything would be fine. They told me that there was no vacuum leak but someone had tampered with the AFM. Can anyone confirm that the AFM is the cause or tell me how I can get the AFM back to the way it was?

If someone has tampered with the AFM idle bypass or with the spring tension on the vane, gettiting it back to where it should be will be a challenge. I'd say to get a god used AFM from a slavage yard.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
