Lower rad hose diameter?

Anyone know this? My car's at the shop and i want to buy a part before i go back to pick it up.
Dont think it matters but car is a 1990 325iX

I'm pretty sure its either 1 1/4in or 1 1/2 in.

The top part of the lower rad hose (which goes from metal pipe to thermostat/waterpump) is 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 (its larger near thermostat)

One and a quarter inches? Do you know how small that is?

If you just go to an autoparts store and tell them which hose you want for which car they will get you the proper diameter pre-formed hose. That means the bends will be the proper shape for the application.

FYI the diameter is 3''
