installing a used m20 what seals and parts should I change while engine is on stand?

    my list so far:
    rear seal valve cover gasket
    timing belt
    water pump
    oil pan gasket
    head gasket
    oil filter housing o ring
    new belts and hoses
new ignition parts for complete new tune up
I just don't wanna have to do these jobs with motor in especially now that its out. I'm also gonna do a full detail of engine and engine bay...
what about fuel injectors? any other hoses? first time doing a motor swap out... thanks for any and all help

    cam seal
    intermediate shaft seal
    front crank seal
-This ones on with a lot of torque though, so if its not leaking I'd say leave it alone
    dipstick seal
    oil return tube

I'd also include the intake & exhaust gaskets and injector seals. And when you replace the valve cover gasket you need the four rubber bungs.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

throw a thin coat of gasket seal on the bungs and rocker gasket as they eventually sweat. You might also what to change the vacuum hoses and oil return hose. Also change all the rad hoses and heater hoses running to the back of the motor.
there is a gasket from the throttle housing you should also change and add some sealant. It for the throttle body cooling.

I wouldn't do a head gasket unless there was an issue with overheating. Everything else tho, sure

Nobody has mentioned head bolts. Aren't they a problem on these engines?

Plus, its not like it's hard to do those with the engine in anyway
