    I need a piston

Has anybody got or know where I can get a single used piston and rod for an M20B27, 83.98mm?

I was gonna say I had a whole set, but then noticed the location. Is this for an Eta or Seta engine?

      It's from what we call a 525e. It's a 1986 E28 with a 2.7 litre M20.
I have a 2.3 head for it not fitted as yet.

I can't find anyone here with a spare piston and rod so I thought I'd ask outside the country.
I deformed the bearing surface of the rod getting it out of the block and then broke a piece of skirt off the piston trying to straighten it out.
I probably can't get it now until after Xmas but how much would you want for one?
      Is it 83.98mm?
The rod is the type with the Torx bolts.

Yep, 83.98mm. I believe the rod is the kind with the 12 point bolts. As for as a price, You can have it for $10 + whatever shipping will run you.

Do you reckon if you stuffed the inside of the piston with newspaper then wrapped it with corrugated cardboard that it would fit into a USPS Supplied Envelope: 9 1/2" x 12 1/2"? Maximum weight 4 pounds.

          How would I pay you?
