Help Diagnose power issue at high RPM/throttle

    Hey Guys,

Have a little issue with my M20 (stock other than chip and larger injectors).
Anytime I get anywhere in the upper half on the RPM range the engine just falls on it's ass and almost stalls.
If I stay in the low RPM only giving a little throttle at a time it runs fine.

If Im in neutral I can give it gas all the way to redline so it's only when the it's under load.

I'm thinking engine couldn't be getting enough gas but wondering if anyone has any other ideas?

    TIA,
    Ryan

This could be a bad WOT switch in the TPS. At least that's the first thing I'd check. After that I'd want to know what the fuel rail pressure is while the car is experiencing this problem.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Not sure if it matters but it doesn't happen at just WOT... It's probably more dependent on RPM than throttle position

Unplug your AFM and drive it at WOT. See what it does then. You'll lose part throttle control though, so you have to be carefull with it on the street. If its AFM related, the computer will run off it's preset WOT map, and should take care of the problem. For a permanent solution, I'd recommend a miller MAF conversion.
