are my bases covered? head swap inside..

so currently i have a four door bronzit (89) that has a rebuilt head less then a year old..rest of the car is quite tired

an i just picked up a coupe of the same year in much better shape other then having a snapped timing belt..(this was after telling the last 2 owners to have it done...)

plans are too take a weekend with some friends and swap the good head over to the coupe..

now i am picking up the obvious parts ..ie:HG and head bolts..TB and tensioner and water pump..

is there anything else i should consider replacing while doing this job?

and hints or tricks i should know of?

doing all the obvious foot work on here and a few other sites but figured i would also try aking about it..

i feel it should be a pretty straight forward job but we all know how that goes lol

Camshaft oil seal. I wish I would have replaced mine when I did my timing belt, I figured I could skate by without it. Nope. It leaks now.

if your intermediate shaft sprocket doesn't look like the first pic, it may end up looking like the next one. might want to replace it too. ruined my day...same results as a broken tb. don't know why the pics didn't show properly...i am not well schooled on adding pics to a post, sorry. anyone feels sorry for me...give me the heads up on full pics...lol

Hey, this is the guy you just sold all that stuff to on FMR (Kurtis).

Be careful on the camshaft oil seal bolts, snapped both mine off.. yet another hold up in getting it back on the road..

I was able to drill one of them out but had to take the other to the machine shop to get it out, $$. Thank god the guys at FMA like me, they cut me a hell of a deal.
