i hope this problem happened to you,but you fixed it..

I have a 88 325i..the car was working fine with no big problems.
I changed the plugs , changed all 4 discs and mostly maintance.
And i was trying to fix the afm because the po had the idle mixture screw to only half a turn. i set it to 3 turns out and it was whatever.
The next day my brother was adjusting the rear brakes and out of nowhere the car doesnt turn on anymore. I checked the main relay it was making the icv buzz and the motor cranks but doesnt turn on. I check fuse 11 and there is no power, I checked the fuel relay there is no power between 30 and 87. I checked the fuel pump connector and there was no voltage. What could it be? DME or something? Im stuck and this is a DD so I need help ASAP!

    Thanks

I would still put a different one on there and test it out. Just yank one out of a car at a junkyard. I don't recall how many ohms mine showed, but when I replaced it, it put my car back on the road. :D

Does the engine have spark when cranking? If it doesn't either DME isn't running or it isn't getting timing data from the engine. In that case it won't engage the fuel pump relay and thus there'll be no power to fuse 11 (or the pump).
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

You should tell him to smoke test it. ;)

check for spark and fuel report back. Actually check it, not just if there is power going there.

Jump the Spark plug wire with a screwdriver to ground to see if it arcs.

Pull the Fuel line of the FPR to confirm fuel is flowing. Gas will only come out when cranking.

I have spark. I already checked that.
I shocked my hand pretty good. HAHA it was a funny experience.

fuel is not coming out of the FPR.

                    You have spark.
You have air (No dog food in the airbox).
                    Apparently no fuel.
I would grab a couple of wires, 4 alligator clips and a 12v battery.
I would connect the wires to the terminals of the fuel pump.
Then connect the positive wire to the battery +, and finally touch the neg wire to the battery neg and see if the fuel pump runs.
If it runs, you'll need to investigate the under side of the fuse/relay panel for damage, and test for continuity from there to the main relay.
If there is continuity, then remove the main relay and jump the 12v constant(30) to the target supply(87).
The main relay supplies switched power to the fuel pump relay.

If you ran battery power directly to the pump and it did not run, then the pump is most likely dead.
Double check the test... Pumps are $$$

The New No-crank problem...charge the battery, maybe it is run down from all the cranking and diagnosis.
The click is probably the starter not getting enough amps.
