    rod bolt size?

    Anyone have any idea what size is the rod bolt heads. I was trying to use a e16 socket but one of the bolt heads started to strip.

    Any I dea what the correct size is?

    i used a 12mm or 13mm 12 point socket. worked just fine.

      yeah found to use a 10 mm 12 point worked on most but two were almost rounded by previous owner
      might have to grind them off

        use a vice grip on them and then buy all new ones.

          I don't remember which e-torx you need for the rod bolts. I just grab the one that fits out of my set.

          In case you don't know, the rod and head bolts are torque to yield, one time use, bolts and must be replaced after loosening.
          The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
