    Bad CPS?

Ever since last year I've had this small little issue with my eta where sometimes I would be driving along and the tach would drop to 0, motor stop running, and I would have to pull over. When i tried to starting the car the tach didnt budge while it was cranking and you could tell it wouldnt start. Then after waiting a little bit I would turn it over, tach would start shaking and it would start right up and run fine. Similarly I would wake up some mornings to start the car after it running fine the night before and had the same issue.

Ive had suggestions that its fuel related. Ive also thought maybe there was a loose ground. Main relay is fresh. Finnally my friend said, that HAS to be the CPS or one of the reference sensors.

So does this sound like this is the culprit?

    Thanks!

The tach going to zero says that the DME is loosing timing data (bad CPS) or loosing power. You have changed the main relay, so the next likely candidate would be the fusible link in the DME power cable (near the battery in the small wire from the positive terminal) or the DME ground on the passenger strut tower.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

mine would run 1 mile then die...wait 5 minutes...start, same thing. you could set still and tack it up and it would run forever. cps is most likely candidate.
