    FML m20

    So about three months ago I had to leave town when I got back 3 weeks later my battery was dead (89 325is)ok i was kinda expecting that. I jump it, fired right up but now I have a aanti lock light. get in drive car, i baby it when its cold, finally warms up and i take it on the freeway to get some fuel through her, Bucking, backfiring, coughing around 3krpm im thinking must be the computer was dead and is relearning the chip its a jim conforti. long story short any time I try to apply more than about 40% throttle I get this same problem sometimes it does it sometimes it doesnt. Dad thought it was the battery not making enough power for the coil, i dont think so. I get A SERIOUS loss of power at high throttle settings between 2krpm and 4krpm

    What gives?

    how long sense spark plug replacement? and check feul pressure...

      to be honest its been awhile since I changed the plugs, what makes ou think its fuel pressure

        check the coil and spark plug wiers too, also cap and rotor for cracks and burns inside.

          k im gonna change the plugs tomorrow. would nt bad plugs/rotor/wires mean bad spark at all rpms? this is only happening 2krpm to 4krpm. and what about the antilock light?

            if your getting just enough spark for those rpms you wont notice it...higher rpm has more demand....

            so if its getting just enough spark then no....

            I'd do what everyone else recommends and inspect the entire ignition system

                Fuel filter sounds like a good place to start

                1. Does coil power come from the battery or the altenator?
                2. Any idea why I have an anti lock light(and it's not working I tried it) after a jump start?
