ok update. i redid my valves this morning. engine ice cold .25 mm feeler gauge. i still have a loud ass tick. my only two options is new rockers arms or rocker arm clips. but i dont know where to find these clips. also i used 10w40 oil so its thicker and figured ticking would lessen but its fucking bad. imma upload a vid in a couple mins. its shitty but w/eOriginally posted by evandaela car is a car. call it a dildo, i'd still drive the hell out of it.

Link doesn't work for me. Unless of course you wanted me to watch some rifle blowing up.
I had the same issue for the first few months. Followed the Bentley guide, tightened them correctly with a .010ths feeler gauge and they still ticked like crazy. I then did it again, but made sure the engine was stone cold, and tightened them to the point that it was difficult to get the gauge out. I now run 20w-50 and get great pressure (maybe lose a bit of mileage in the winter, but it still beats the hell out of my Suburbans mileage) and it gets plenty hot enough here in the summer to run that oil. No more ticking. Well, maybe a bit from the injectors.sigpic

Guys:
my experience with Valve adjustment, for years I went with bently's recomended .012 cold and got crappy MPG low 10s and 11 MPG on my 1991 325i cabrio automatic with 0ver 200kmiles on the engine ,
once I decided to go to 0.013, problem was solved I'm getting 17 , 18 mpg in the city and more on the freeway after readjusting to larger gap.the result was imediate.
try larger clearance and see if it works on your engine.
