euro 323i will not stay running?

Car will only run for 5-10 seconds? It will do this a few times then it will not start at all. Let it sit for 10 minutes try again and it will start fine and die? Ive checked everything; vacuum, spark, fuel, air, ect. its all up to par. Im thinking its loosing fuel pressure somewhere, and my brother tells me there is 2 fuel pumps on this thing? I cant find much info on this car, any help would be greatly appreciated...

    Thanks!

when was the fuel filter changed last? had similar problems before that turned out to be the filter.. which knocked out the pump also because i didnt catch it in time.

also maybe fuel pump relay or one/both of the pumps.

    Currently E30-less

Fuel filter has yet to be changed, i hope i can catch it then!

I will replace the relay and go from there hoping it didnt knock out both pumps...

      Thankyou Dmcl!

might not be filter/pump related but i had similar issues that turned out to be the filter needing changed.

try the fuel filter first, probably the cheapest of the lot to try.

Car still will not stay running.
Replaced the fuel filter and fuel pump relay. Along with new afm, and we checked the fuel pumps and both are in working order..

Im starting to think i may have some vacuum lines mixed up or possible another sensor out?

The car ran great before doing the timing belt and waterpump!? Soo im beginning to think i have something hooked up wrong or forgot to put something back.. but damn ive checked over this thing a million times, just keep finding things to replace but it was running before..? haha the battle of owning a 30 year old car..
