    Horrible vacuum leak..

I've got a terrible vacuum leak, sounds like a siren. I did take the head off a while back, is there a hose somewhere in there that I might have disconnected and forgot about? I can't see anything, but it does seem to sound like it's coming from the center of the motor.

Is there a diagram of vacuum hoses anywhere? I'm sure it's something ridiculously stupid and simple.

One of the vacuum leaks that I have is wayyy under the throttle body:

Stick your hand under the throttle body and wiggle the hose around. See if the noise gets louder/goes away.

Also, have you tried using carb cleaner to find the leak?

Spray it on all the hoses and gaskets. If you spray it where the leak is, the rpm's will increase and you found your leak!

the only vacuum hoses are the ones to the brake booster, and the one to the fuel pressure regulator. there is the breather hose that runs from the left side of the throttle body to the valve cover.
is it possible that you have a torn gasket?

This is exactly what I was looking for. It was where the fuel pressure line connects to the head--I had taken the valve cover off a while ago to check the valves and it looks like I didn't torque the bolts down right. All gone!
