Does this look like my HG is toast?

So I'm finishing up with the suspension work on my E30 (89 325i) and while I was at it I adjusted the valves etc.. but it still seems too loud and erratic to be normal. In the pictures below you can see that it has a couple of areas where theres a white fluid. I know this might be a sign of HG problems but I thought I should get some opinions on what might be wrong otherwise? also there are no leaks from anything on the car. Thanks in advance!

whats your dipstick look like? - that might just be condensation on your oil cap
