    Terrible gas mileage?

I have an 88 325i and its throwing the code for bad mass air flow sensor. It runs poorly. Could this cause bad gas mileage?
I just rebuilt the motor. The head had 6 new exhaust valves in it along with it cleaned and checked. The valves tick at like 40+ mph. Do they need adjusted again? Or what? Let me know please.

    Thanks,
    Ashton.

A bad AFM can definitely cause bad mileage.

Not sure how you can base a valve tick off speed and not RPM...

How many miles since the new head? Most likely yes they do need to be readjusted.
