    Fan clutch

I cant for the life of me get that 32 mil loose, i read it spins reverse to loosen but the whole assembly moves no matter how i go about it.
Any one know a good way to get this done or is my car just being mean. :(

Use the fan clutch removal wrench set.

I used a pair of large channel locks to hold the pulley in place while I gave the 32mm wrench a quick tap with a good sized hammer. It did the trick nicely.

          would the pulley need replacing?

Not in my case. I didn't grip it with the channel locks on the grooved part of the pulley. I used the smooth section of it just between the belt and the fan clutch.

It can be rather difficult to get a good grip on the channel locks and still be able to get that wrench moving, so help may be required.

i bold a long thin metal bar with a hole in it to the bolts on the pulley. makes it come off really easy. the bar is 2'x1"x1/8" to the bolts shown below.

i take 1 bolt off then with the same bolt bolt in the metal bar.

              Much wow

i used a visegrip and then used a prybar as a punch, hammered that sucker down, and it came loose.. i already had the radiator/shroud removed at that point.

We've got a kick ass fan clutch tool at work that you hook to an air chisel and just pull the trigger.

                  Works-every-time.

I used a chain wrench on the pulley and a 1 1/4 inch open end wrench

Do you know the spacing on the holes, its kind of hard to get measurements on them right now

I got the fan clutch tool at oreilys but the closest size is 68 mill it seems to need a 67
