    Fuel pump = no Power.

Ok this this is my problem..... SO i just picked up a new e30 and I replaced the head gasket. After that I went to start the car and nothing happened. So I found out that the fuel pump wasn't getting any power. So I checked the relay "b" and it was getting power. Then I checked the fuse but it wasn't getting any power. The car has a after market alarm and I was wondering if that was the reason why it wasn't working?? Or do you guys think that it could be the fuse box??? but that's the only fuse I am having a problem with........... so what do you guys think?

Check fusible link on smaller of two battery cables about a foot from the battery under the carpet in the trunk ( assuming you don't have the vert ). Looks like a flat spot on the cable - peel back the rubber cover. It's 50 amp if you have to replace it.

Are you checking for power when cranking the engine? The DME controls the fuel pump relay and only commands pump operation when timing data from a rotating engine is presented to the DME..

A common mistake after engien work on a 325i/is/icis to get the CPS and Cylinder ID connectors swapped. That will prevent the DME from seeing timing data and thus the pump won't run.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

The pump isn't powered just with the ignition on. It won't have power until the DME sees timing data from a rotating engine.

By any chance could the security system have anything to do with this???? I just un plugged the ecu to re set it. I checked at the crank sensor plug and 2 of of the three were grounded.

Ok so I found the starter relay. I just don't have power coming out of number 30 but i have power coming of the ignition black wire that's powers it. I feel like im getting closer!
