    hrlp rebuilt engine and its not starting .

    No fuel no spark need help asap !

    Check the fabled fusible link on the smaller of the two positive battery cable leads about a foot from the battery under the carpet in the trunk. Looks like a flat spot on the cable with a rubber cover you will have to peel back to see the link.

          you might have those two plugs under the diagnostic connector switched.

              No fuel and mo spark means that:

              The DME isn't getting timing data from the engine
              The DME isn't getting power
              The DME isn't seeing a START signal.
              The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

                  That doesn't necessarily mean your DME is faulty. It just means it's not getting a start signal, power or timing signal. There are two plugs on the driver's side of the motor behind the alternator mounted next to each other on a black mount made of sheet metal. If those plugs are reversed you're car won't start.

                    in front of your starter there are two plugs that can be interchanged easily. if this is an eta engine like you name... the pulse generators can get mixed up and the DME wont know whats going on. they look like the pic below. your timing comes off a mark on the flywheel. also check and see if that mark got knocked off.
