I'm in the process of a 318i> m20 swap. the motor and tranny are in, everything is pretty much hooked up... however, what fuel lines go to what? there seems to be two canisters (filters) for the fuel? not sure what hoses go where. help asap would be best, gotta have this car drivable by friday for the VIR rowlex series race

The cannister with the two hose fittings is the the charcoal cannister and is part of the evaporative control system. One fitting goes to a hose that connects to one of the hard lines that run under the car and the other connects to the evap control valve that hangs from the bottom of the throttle body.The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Yeah. There are 3 lines running from the fuel tank to the front of the car. Supply, return, and the charcoal canister setup that runs from the throttle body to the canister and then back to the expansion tank of the car.86 325e chumpracer, 87 325e RallyXer, 12 Boss 302LS, 97 MiataComment
