buzzing on left side of car

There is a constant buzzing on the left side of my car. It used to only happen when I was real low on gas, now it happens all the time. I assume this means my fuel pump is going bad. Can someone point me to the correct part/parts I need to buy? Do I need to buy the electric pump? Or the suction device assembly? Both? Thanks.

The noise could be from the high pressure pump located under the car and just forward of the left rear wheel. The high pressure pump could be worn, or it could be having to work to hard because of a clogged filter or a failing in-tank transfer pump. The spec for the delivery rate of the transfer pump is in the Bentley, so you can test it. If the transfer pump is good and the filter isn't clogged, you'll need to replace the high pressure pump.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
