    whats your budget?
if you are on a budget, ebay chip is ok.
if you have money to spend, go markD 93oct chip.

my car has a bav auto chip. i have a 86 eta. it has some other mods, but deffinately is fast!
feel it most in 2nd and 3rd gear. best bang for buck imho. people dont believe me when i say my eta can stomp stock/lightly modded 325i's without a problem. its gonna boost your tq's like crazy. lil more top end, but you have an eta, remember, you accel. faster! use your trqs.!!!!!
    computer, pull out and check

Ok thanks. Im on a budget, but I also want to buy something good. I have a 88 super eta. recently tranny swap ( death to the slush box!).Is running pretty good, im thinking in getting a 3.73 diff and the chip. How much money do you spend in your chip?

mine came with the car :p

markD is 200. most reputable companies are 200 bucks.
do get the diff, it will make it scream. i almost threw a 4.10 in mine, but thought i'd loose too much top end.
as for ebay, i put one in my first e30, it was like 45bucks. everyone told me its pretty much a clone of a good chip. it livened up the car, but the car was also a autotragic so i dont think i got to take full advantage.

If you have 200 to spend, do the Mark D chip. I had one in my first eta and it totally transformed the car. It was night and day difference.

Thanks for your words. Im dealing to get a 3.73 diff cheap. In the chip concern, I think that for now I will be searching for the ebay one, I prefer to spend the extra money in the diff rather than the chip. Anyways is very hard to find the proper one in ebay,my engine being an super-eta. Other question why the higher oct?

If I were you I would save up for the stroker base-tuned Miller WAR chip.

if you arent too techy. here are your best options. NEVER buy something off ebay for your car. with that down there are 3 easy plug and play chips. MarkD is the best. then Dinan and then Turner. get them from the manufacture no where else. its not worth blowing an engine on a bad chip.
                    Much wow

the miller based WAR chip is about 300-350 if im not mistaken. you get it from miller performance, if you google it, it will show up.

I've got a $40 ebay chip that has worked great for 4 years. It "claimed" 20hp/20ftlb. Never dynoed it but there was a noticable difference. Works good in my stock 325E. And yes, I have to run 93 octane.
