    Loss of Power

For some reason my car doesnt feel like it has power. I compared my car with my friends car and it doesnt feel the same. Both are stock m20, have had the typical tune up, no exhaust or anything. Just bone stock and my car feels less powerful. Can you guys give some ideas on what might cause the car to lose power? I want to do a compression test first, anything else I can do as well? Also Im thinking maybe there is a head gasket leak?

Having the injectors cleaned and rebuilt is always a good thing and can be justified by considering that you may end up with a little bit lower fuel consumption afterwards. If your spark plug gap is 0.028" or less then I would open it up to 0.032" (but no more) to help out on the top end. You will also want to swap AFM's with your friend while he isnt looking. :P The compression test is a great idea because it might reveal that you are down on compression

Dirty injectors, bad ignition wires/plugs, a bad ECT, intake leaks, an aged O2 sensor, clogged cats, etc., will result in reduced power. It is also possible that the DME may not be working correctly.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Thanks guys, I will double check on the spark plug gaps. How can I check if my AFM is bad?
