being as the torques appeared anything but even, if it wasnt warped before it surely is now

Dont be a dummy, take the head to get pressure tested,cleaned up and resurfaced, dual angle valve job, new valve seals ,get new Head Gasket, and new TORX head Bolts. you might need new rocker arms and maybe new cam upon further inspection. Re assemble and look back and say thank godness i didnt cheap out. Doing things right the first time avoids countless wasted frustrated hours and fuck ups that would cost you more in the end.

with old cars RULE #1 dont kid yourself trying to cut corners, do things right the first time to avoid being bitten in the ass and getting your wallet cleaned out for stupidity.
