I had something similar happen to me. It was the connector for the injectors - I'm not sure if that's the C191. Worth the try. If that connector is not sending the signals to the injector then your engine would sound like its running short on cylinders. You will need a large socket to remove the nut that holds that connector.

I gotta bump this because I have the same problem.

Right before my m20 started taking a shit on me, the Speedometer fell short & stopped giving me readings. & Felt like some cylinders weren't firing.

I replaced the Cap & rotor, cuz the cap was broken and the rotor was shaved off.

Still doing the same thing ?? :( Im curious..

I had the same problem where I would stall out at a light or just sitting in neutral for a min or so when I first started it up. I ended up replacing the Main relay and it worked great for about 5months or so. A few days ago it stalled again. I figured the relay was just junky. I then noticed that I had got the wrong relay in there and somehow it was working. I got all the correct relays and it was fine for a good week until we got some heavy downpours. Now it's been stalling out every day and I haven't had time to check it with my crazy work schedule. It has a split second rough idle then it dies on me. I used to be able to keep the revs at about 1k and it wouldn't stall out, or so I thought until yesterday. The problem is intermittent so maybe keeping the idle up wasn't really doing anything. So regardless, when I find the problem I'll chime in some more.

Checked the connector and it's in great shape, no corrosion at all. Checking the CPS later today and maybe try and clean any dirt/crud that's on the end.

I ended up check that crank sensor later same day and resistance was OL. So I ordered a new sensor and it just came in today. Car runs now and doesn't stall. Now it just has a bad rough idle. Will check that soon but that's a different story.

when i had this issue it was because the cps wire got chewed up by the water pump pully. it would only fuck up intermittently, presumably because the CPS was grounding out on the timing cover. pull the whole CPS out and check it for frays
