    car runs fine until it warms up.

    I have an 88 325i. It runs good until it warms up. Then it'll sputter and sometimes die. I've replaced fuel pump, o2 sensor, fuel filter, spark plugs, spark plug wires, afm, all gaskets, and some other stuff. I can't find any vacuum leaks or anything. I have a cold air intake on it. I cant find anything wrong with it. If you have any ideas let me know what you think. Its greatly appreciated.

      That has usually been the case in the past for me.

      Perform some tests as per the Bentley manual on it and the coil.

        I had that issue and traced it to that sensor changed it and ran fine again.

            The ECT sensor isn't very hard to change, but I find that I have to remove the fuel rail to gain access to the sensor.

            Although you haven't found any intake leaks, they could still be present. Have a shop run a smoke test to see if there are intake leaks.
            The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

              I've never had to remove the rail to do it. I just used a swivel on a socket. It's a very tight fit, but it does the job.
