    clicking noise

So my car has developed a clicking noise that is coming from the engine bay. it is pretty loud but once you get in the car you would not notice it. I have tried to locate it and all i could figure out is that it gets louder when you get under the car. I think that is is just one of the belts on the front of the car because it seems to be happening in sinc with the belts. any ideas should i just change the timing belt or what

Your going to have to be a little more detailed with that description.

      sorry bout that,
well the noise speeds up as the car revs up but i do not think it is a thrown rod because there is no loss in performance and i can not hear it when driving the car (unless i stick my head out of the car) i do not think that it is because of a loose spark because i just bought new spark plug wires(brand new not used) and spark plugs.
i have heard that one of the rubber teath can be chipped on a belt and that can cause a ticking noise and my theory is that when i took off the plastic skid pad and drove on a dirt road that maybe a rock hit it or something like that

the sound sounds exactly like a loose timing chain(but its a m20 so i shouldnt have one of those.)

just saw the video oh in the post (how the hell did this happen) and the clicks didnt happen at all that fast so i feel confident it is not inside of the engine that is causing this
