    unbolting exhaust..

Can unbolting my exhaust from th cat back make a difference on how it runs? It sputters out and loses throttle. I have 88 325i. It sounds so good with it unbolted but if it is gonna make it have problems im gonna bolt it back up.

well if it sputters and loses throttle, sounds like you answered your own question...

That shouldn't make any difference in the way the engine runs, but it will make misfires more noticable. Sounds to me like you need to do some work on the engine and get it running right.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Well it like half way off of it and I didn't know if that would mess up the back pressure with o2 sensor and mess up the air fuel ratio.

Backpressure Lol. I'm probably gonna ruffle a few feathers for disputing "backpressure".

Exhaust gas is in pulses. Not a constant, "pressurized" air mass.

                  This.

It's probably something else in the engine, that is just magnified by having no exhaust. I had my B35 swapped e28 dumping from the downpipes and it ran smooth as silk, for an M30.

If I unplug my tps while its running and nothing changes does that mean its bad?

just save your self some time and headache's and just take the car to someone that knows what they are doing.

It doesn't give you a head ache when it's that loud? Lol I tried It out for a few days and couldnt handle it. I thought about bolting the exhaust back on and just chopping the muffler off. My neighbors hate me

Ever since the stock muffler ony my stock m20 cracked off the pipes I slipped it off to find that my baffling was already shot inside the muffler and was no good to begin with.

Which is why it sounded bad in the first place.

Now I run no muffler and love ho loud it is...makes me wish I was running an s5x swap.

I'm putting a muffler on soon since driving with the top up the sound resonates badly at 28-3200 rpm but goes away right after. The girlfriend hates it.

The sound makes SO MANY people look and stare lol.
