I had the motor and trans out for clutch work. While out, I had the motor on a rotating engine stand and did a rear main seal and an oil pan gasket. I had the motor upside down while doing the oil pan gasket, and all sorts of other positions while working on it so it was completely empty of oil. The motor and trans are back in, and ready to start. I have refilled the motor with oil, disconnected the coil, and cranked the motor. No oil pressure. I have cranked the motor about five times for about 5-10 seconds each time with no results. I have checked for oil at the filter. My Autometer oil pressure gauge indicates nothing, and the idiot light remains on. Is there anything else to check before I rip the pan off again and swap the oil pump? REEEEALLY don't want to do that. TIA

remove the plug on right front of block and remove intermediate shaft gear . use a power drill to run the pump, 4mm 12 pt. deep well socket i believe. remove the valve cover. you will see oil at your cam lube tube if the pump is working. you will feel the pump load-up after a few seconds. good luck.
