    Knocking from the rear

Just picked up an 84 325e with low miles and when it gets to about 3500 a strange knocking and vibration comes from the rear end, almost sounds like a drive shaft out of balance bu it only does it at higher rpm's. Any thoughts?

My first thought would be a bad center support bearing or binding u-joints in the drive shaft.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I'm betting it's the center support bearing, I'd think a gweebo would make the noise all the time or at a certain speed verses a certain rpm

Ended up being a destroyed gweebo and a bad center support bearing, 45$ for of fix, not bad.
