    Need help identifying this connector!

As I was reassembling the 85 eta after some due maintenance, I come by this plug and I have no clue what it is or where it should go. Can anyone please help me?

thank you for looking, any help would be appreciated. I don't really want to fire it back up without knowing lol.

see that big air hose running over the top of the manifold? and how its connected to a gray cylinder/modulator? it plugs in over there on the passenger side on the motor

it could be that, but I think he would notice if his ICV was unplugged. on my eta i had a connector just like that but i didnt know what it went to so i just left it unplugged. I had no problems.

you're fine, it doesn't need to be plugged in. I have an 85 eta as well and when I had the stock engine I didn't have that thing plugged in. I'd be interested to know what that is though

i keep forgetting to check what this is... I will try to check my old 85 harness and see if it's part of the harness. It looks like it is part of the wire that runs from the fusebox to the battery terminal

Looked into it and it's either the ICV or it leads to nothing, asked sever of the shop guys and they all said the same thing. BMW does some weird thing.
