    M20 with g240(m42) transmission

Have a 1991 318is shell with an 89 325is motor, drivetrain consists of the m20b25 motor but the transmission I used was the g240 off of the 91 318is. I was just wondering what transmission bracket, shift linkage and drive shaft I would need to make this setup work? As of right now the front part of the drive shaft is about 2 inches too long as is the shift linkage, and the transmission cross member puts the tranny at a funky off center angle and stresses the mounts.

Honestly the smartest thing you can do it get the correct 260 trans, shifter, and driveshaft. That stuff is not expensive and is relatively easy to find. Buy the correct parts, sell the 318 parts.

Getrag240's are garbage. Just drop 100 and get a used 260. Sorry to double post, that's my 2 cents.

I actually prefer the gear ratio's on the 240, and have never had any issues with mine. But regardless I have resolved the issue, thank you very much for your assistance =D
