    Werid beeping noise (87 325e)

ok so a couple of time i hear a weird beeping noise somewhere under my gauges. it is kinda freaking me out a bit and im just curious of what it could be. I read someplace that it's the temp sensor to tell you when its freezing.....problems is its 90-100 here all summer....

    It's a bomb!

It's probably just the gong thingy connected to the OBC. I think it can be set to go off for things like outside temperature, as you mentioned, as well as the top of the hour, and when you reach certain speeds. I just ignore it, though I suppose you could disconnect it, or change the settings on the OBC to disengage it.

Is the memo on your OBC on? It's set to beep every half hour to tell you it's time to listen to the local news. It's strange but it made me wonder what is was for a while. I've got the gong thing disconnected now.
