    How hard for M20 swap to same motor??

    Just curious as how hard is it just to swap out m20 motors and how long does it take... Like from an 87is to a 90is.. Thanks..

    Longblock, you can expect a shop to charge you ~11-16 hours tops.

    Average guy in his yard, if you know what you are doing, it can be done in a 6 -10 hour period, if you don't, budget 36 hours of labor time.

      keep in mind that the harnesses are different between those two engines listed, so keep your original one for reuse. Other than that, installation is the reverse of removal, label all your connectors, and keep the bolts handy, and it shouldnt take more than a weekend if you take your time, and less than a day if you rush.

        If you are fast and know what you are doing. Motor for motor. 10 hours. Thats pulling it in, to pulling it out.

        Block out 2-3 days if you are doing it on jackstands or un-experienced.
