    Idle problems...

    Car has been idling funny once it gets warmed up, and I have NO idea how to fix it. Any suggestions?

    One of my vacuum hoses does have about a 1 inch split in it and I ordered that today, so if that doesn't fix the problem then is there anything else specific to idle problems only when a car is warm?

      Coolant temp. sensor? Cold start valves are also goofy, at least that's what I've found.

          The problem only happens when the car is warm though. So wouldn't that not effect it?

          What other hoses should I check that are common for leaks? I'm replacing the hose that runs from the intake boot to the ICV.

            If the cold start valve is not getting the signal to shut off it may still be spraying fuel in there causing it to flood. Don't know if that's what it is, but you never know.

              you can also try cleaning your Idle control valve but fixing that hose should solve your problem

                If its only when warm, then I would suspect the oxygen sensor first. If it has more than about 50,000 mi on it, I would just replace it.

                Also, have you tested the throttle pos. sensor to make sure it is switching properly?

                  The oxygen sensor only has about 30k miles on it, so I assume that isn't the problem. Where is the throttle position sensor located so I can test that?

                    the tps is on the bottom side of the throttle body. do you have a bently manual? it has the proper testing procedure.
