Help- 325e engine swap?rebuild?turbo?

i have a 1984 bmw 325e 5speed. the original 1984 2.7L dripped a valve after 118,000kms. the bottom end less one damaged piston and head appears fine and the bore looks near mint (118,000 kms). To get the car back on the road i swapped to an 1985 2.7L (roughly 220,000kms) that has since dropped in compression in cylinder 4. after another failed 2.7 i picked picked up an 1987 2.5L motor, harness, motronic, cluster and a 3.73lds rear end (rear end already in). the head on it is in good condition, however the bore looks worn on the thrust face. is it worth rebuilding the 2.5L? can a stroker be done using the 84-85 2.7L's bottom ends with the 87 2.5L head, intake and electronics? i have a exhaust manifold to bolt to a Garret t3/t4 turbo and an intercooler. if you have any suggestions of aftermarket parts web links would be a big help. :D thanks in advance for the help, i look forward to seeing suggestions

And if you plan on doing a turbo setup I'd suggest doing some reading on E30tech, lots of good turbo threads over there.
