    m20 bore and hot tank

i have a used 2.7 eta block that i would like to prep for my 2.7i build, does anyone know a good and cost effective machinist in Socal/OC area that could help me with this. preferably someone who has some experience with m20 engines :)

    thanks!

You could talk to Robert at E30 Motorwerks. I know he builds M20 engines fairly often.

Do not hot tank an M20 block as that will destroy the intermediate shaft bearing, which are a major pain to replace.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

absolutely correct...however, you can have the block dipped and cleaned. i would clean it with wire brushes and solvent, then after bore/hone, paint it with engine enamel asap.
