    Fuel Injector Question.

I was wondering if fuel injectors from a 1999 Bmw 5 series will fit my 1986 325e. My friend has all 6 from an engine he tore apart for no reason.

    Thanks!

They might physically fit, but if they are a different flow-rate (which they probably are) you need a chip that works with those injectors.

The base tune on your ecu anticipates a certain size of injector (14.5# on an M20B25). Using larger injectors without changing anything else will make the car run rich. The oxygen sensor wont be able to handle corrections that large

What would i need to be able to run the injectors?

He said he has a 325e. He has an eta motor.

OP, the injectors won't work. They will fit but the problem is, eta motors have low impedance injectors so they can only be replaced with low impedance injectors. The injectors on an i motor or the 1999 5 series motor, are high impedance injectors.

So long answer short, no, they won't work for you.

Only way you can get them to work would be to do an i head swap with the harness and computer.

There's absolutely no reason to change injectors in an Eta anyway.
