    Engine teardown. Please help

I'm hoping to start taking apart my m20 to clean it up and do some replacing of parts. Just wondering if someone can help out by letting me know which issues or parts i should tackle first. Engine has over 300k and was rebuilt at 150k iirc.

    What should I do first???

How much does an m20 go for? I am short on funds at the moment. I pretty much wanted to replace gaskets, belts, and hoses at this point.

i agree with mr. vang. you have an eConomey model with a ton of miles. You can find a used m20b25 the "i" model for a reasonable price. look for one with around 150xxx or so on it and rebuild as you see fit.

Minimizes down time, too. I'd say with all the swaps that go on in your neck of the woods you could find a reasonably priced M20 with little difficulty. Local yard here charges about $200 for a pulled motor w/ECU.
