Cps I'd check first. Ignition coil I'd check next. Etas have a cam and a crank position sensor I believe.

Check your positioning sensors on the bell housing, better hope you tab didnt grind off the flywheel like mine.

It prevents giving spark because it has no timing data. It is also not giving fuel if it is ur cps.

I had this same problem with my car after it sat for a little while.

            1. Get your Bentley out.
            2. Run every test you can in the areas of ignition and fuel system. From the DME plug in your dash.
2a. Test both engine speed sensor and engine reference sensor. Make sure the resistance is within Bentley specs. If not replace them.
2b. Test the resistance of the ignition coil and check for voltage off and on and when cranking the motor.d
2c. Test the injectors make sure they fire when you bridge the connection with a fused wire.
2d. Test fuel pump. Make sure you can hear it running. If not, check the relay, its over by the airbox. There are 3 from the left, 1st is main relay, 2nd is fuel pump relay. Pull Fuel relay and bridge terminal 30 and 87 and you should hear the pump kick on. if you hear it when testing at the terminal but not at the DME plug then the relay is bad and replace it.

Now if all of the above check out and passes all the test and still won't start, check the battery cable in the trunk of the car that send power to the DME. Its got a massive fuse on it and just make sure its intact.

But if that all checks out its a bad DME and you need to replace it. Which is what ended up happening to me. Its like $60 or less from a pick and pull

Here are some clippings to use from Bentley to get you started.

But this is most important before you do all that. Make sure you have fresh gas in the tank. And that means to drain as much of the old gas as you can and dump in some new. After you get the gas in go back to the relay and bridge 30 and 87 again and wait till you hear a whooshing sound of gas flow through the fuel pressure regulator, run it for another 10 seconds to ensure that there is no air pockets in the fuel lines then give it another go. If that didn't help then begin what I posted before.

              Good luck.
