    Sputtering problem then goes away...??

Hello everyone... I have an 87 325ic.. It seems that after the car sits overnight and then i start it in the morning it starts right up. When i start to drive if i accelerate to fast it will sputter like crazy in any gear... Once i get on the highway and start to cruise for about 5 minutes of driving the symptoms disappear for the rest of the day.. I hope i explained myself pretty good.. Any thoughts of what to check. I was actually maybe leaning toward a bad AFM or ECU...

either that or some intake leaks, check the AFM boot, throttle body gasket for cracks or leaks!

+1 on intake leaks as a possible cause. A smoke test of the intake is the certain way of finding them.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
