    Stock Spark Plug question

Hi Folks. This is a super basic question that I have but since my car didn't come with a manual I'm forced to ask. I'd like to change the spark plugs on my 91 325is and am wondering what's the part number for the spark plugs I need to purchase. I hear the brand is bosch but anyone has a part number or any idea where I can buy a pack of six of these bad boys?

Also, is changing spark plugs something I can do myself or do I have to pay a mechanic to do it? I have the basic tools at my disposal, a healthy and functioning brain and a big heart.

    Cheers.

The part number for the spark plugs your looking for is WR8LC, I think they changed the PN to W8LCR. Changing your spark plugs is not that hard provided that you have a Bentley or a Haynes repair manual for the gap spacing of the spark plug.

The Bosch plugs the car should have are NLA and (in my opinion the Bosch replacement) just doesn't work as well. NGK ZGR5A plugs work very well, at least as well as the original Bosch part.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I just put new Bosch plugs in mine and was shocked to see "made in russia" on the plugs. I am going to second jlevie's response and recommend NGK plugs as i have installed many hundreds of them on motorcycles in the last 15 years or so with zero issues.
