So here's what happen I blow my head gasket and timeing belt had gone put causing a valve to bend . So I replaced the head the head gasket and timeing belt and now the car will not start the timeing marks are set and im get 12volts to the coil but no spark I changed the plugs and still no.....so if anyone can help and point me the right way to what it could be that would help alot cause its been 3weeks and I really need to fix it cause I don't want to have to sell it

try testing your CPS (crank position sensor) the one that bolts to the bracket above the crank pulley on the passenger side. if this is faulty you won't get spark to the plugs. make sure you remembered to plug it back in. if it was unplugged and still no start you might need a new one.

make sure the spark reference and CPS connectors aren't backwards (it's easy to plug them into the other's spot, causing the car not to start)

So the car cranks but doesn't spark or give fuel? Either one/both of your CPS' in the bell housing has died or the reference pin has gone MIA in the flywheel. The CPS' can be tested with a multimeter. I forget how. But if they test ok, you have to yank off the trans to inspect the flywheel for that pin. Well you can manually spin the crank to look for it too.

              Status: HG repair. 488wtq though!
