    Headgasket/head may be bad...advice requested

    anyone have a completed stroker?

When my car was inspected at Bimmer Haus (Vancouver B.C.) when they found the bad ball joint, the mechanic said I have a leaking head gasket (I have an oil leak, but no oil in coolant and no coolant in oil.) Could also be as simple as a leaking valve cover gasket?? not really sure as the oil pan gasket was replaced a while back as well as the head gasket by the PO about 50,000 kms ago (or 10-12 yrs ago), but consideirng the oil is coming from "up above" it could be either. Guess I'll have to investigate further tomorrow. If that search yields nothing, guess I'll book the car in for a compression and leakdown test before i look into any future improvements.

Considering the labour to tear apart my stock m20, I'm thinkin on upgrading to a rebuilt unit with more power over what a stock 325is has. I loved my old eta's tq, but I also love my i's hp. AFAIK the stroker setup is the best of both worlds!!
    any suggestions?
    thanks

P.S. I'm not even sure if the head gasket is bad, this guy could be talkin outta his ass consideirng he did rape me for 30 bucks just so he could put my car on the hoist for 5 minutes/
If it's got tits or tires, it's gonna cost ya!

Are you leaking oil or are you burning it? A head gasket won't usually (if ever) leak oil externally. Pop your hood and see if you find any wet areas around the head/valve cover area.

As far as the stroker motor goes: The best/easiest solution is to run a SETA (1988 eta) bottom end with an "i" head. This will give you the low end torque and high end horse power.
